Day 1 - The Reality

I can see that flexibility is going to be the key to our adventure...It was a great day, but as far as the plan? Yeah, well--

Daddy took the boys to the office with him this morning so that I could go to the doctor with just one child in tow. It turns out: Shingles! Which is, basically, a manifestation of extreme STRESS! It is always good to know, to have a name for the ailment. At least it's not cancer or a heart attack or a tumor. (Yes, I've always had an overactive imagination!) Shingles. Not pretty, not comfortable, could get worse before it gets better, but survive-able.

The Reality of CAMP MOMMY Day 1:
  1. No, we did not clean out the bookbags.
  2. Nope, didn't make it to the library today. I made it to Daddy's office, we all went out to lunch, and then I brought the kids home to change and get ready for the afternoon adventure.
  3. We did make it back down to Centennial Park today, for the 3:30 PM water show, hours of play, the 6:30 water show, dinner with Daddy when he came down to the park to join us after work, and home again, home again by 9:00 PM.
It was a beautiful day. We spent $11 in parking and drinks, but we let Daddy buy us lunch and dinner, so we got off kind of cheap.
