Quick blog on the way out, running to school to help in the Media Center, pick up kids, and get over to pre-school to see my little Sponge Bob in the Halloween Parade!

It has been another busy week, with all kinds of stuff to tell you about--I gotta catch up! I can't be keeping up with this schedule, now that I'm officially OLD--celebrated 37 on Wednesday, 10/27! Actually, the celebrating has been going on for at least a week--the "octave" of my birthday, as my mother-in-law puts it! ;-)

Last night, Russ and I took the older two kids (Zach, age 9, and Haleigh, age 7) to the Avril Lavigne Concert at Phillips Arena in Atlanta--ROCK ON, DUDE! I felt SO old! But it was AWESOME (Dude)--we had a great time, the kids loved it (Avril is Zach's FAVORITE), and I am so impressed with the 19-year-old "Punk Princess"--she was beautiful, in great shape, gave an incredible performance, and was so NOT the angry, bad-mannered poptart she has sometimes been portrayed to be.

In view of Britney Spears' behavior over the last year, I would have to say--as a Mom, I think Avril Lavigne is a terrific idol and role model for my kids. The girl is working it--hard, serious, sweet, and very smart! She's 19 years old--she wasn't "angry" with sometimes questionable behavior over the last couple of years, she was a teenager! And, yes, a REBEL--takes one to know one!
