In The Wake of Disaster

Sometimes, it's hard to know what to do next; how to put one foot in front of the other and move forward with your life. Even just to get through the day, the hour, the minute you are in. To believe "This too shall pass," and you will survive to see another happy day.

I've visited that place a time or two in my life, and yet I can't begin to imagine the devastation and loss suffered in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama over the last week, in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

It's hard to think about anything else right now. Our hearts, thoughts, prayers, blood, and anything and everything else we can share are with our sisters and brothers.

If what doesn't kill us truly makes us stronger, we're going to have some pretty damn strong people coming out of this situation.

Survival is first.
Recover.
Rebuild.
