I have a Blogging Mom friend, Char at Casual Keystrokes , who started up "Casual Friday" online, which I love, Love, LOVE:
"It’s Friday again and we are taking it easy today! Won’t you join us? There are no real rules, just leave a comment to join the conversation - it’s that easy. We can talk about anything you want. Ask a few questions, tell a story, share a tip - your choice...Last week’s Casual Friday was a lot of fun - there were 44 comments! Thanks to Yvonne, Eliza, AgentSully, Laura, Ariane, Denise, Kendra, Matthew, Gayla, Sherri, and Jane."

Here's The Rebel Housewife Casual Friday Comment (after only ONE (1) cup of coffee):

Yay! I love Casual Friday! I am just popping in before the day-camp run and the day begins. This is the end of Week #3 (of 11) for us already on Summer Break. Sometimes I think I may be too old for Camp Mommy!

We saw Ghost Rider last night. It was a little intense. We saw Shrek 3 when it came out, but haven’t managed to get to Pirates or Surf’s Up, and then 9yo Daughter and I are excited about Nancy Drew.

Here’s two things I am thinking about at the moment:
1) There is an article in PEOPLE Magazine this week called “Big Love” - "With 16 kids -- and one on the way -- Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar leave family planning to a higher power." Oh.My.God. The mother is 40, Dad 41 -- I can’t even imagine! (And just the thought of one more child, to my three, makes me shudder!)

2) I recently subscribed to MORE Magazine, because I’m almost 40 (gasp!), and I am kind of ambivalent about it (the magazine) -- MORE is for old chicks, right?! Anyway, I have been reading a really interesting article about going back to work (outside the home) after taking time off. I have a new book to review about that very subject. It’s certainly very enticing to think about, every once in a while, when everything and everyone is going nuts around here...

Gotta run!

Oh P.S., as far as going "back" to work (outside the home)...the assumption is these women all seem to have something high-power to go back to, working off their former experience and careers. I haven’t exactly figured out what’s the what if you don’t have anything to go "back" to -- I pretty-much hated my career position and I suspect I may have become completely unemployable over the last 13 years!!!

The MORE Magazine article is "Back in Business" by Leslie Morgan Steiner.
The book I have for review on this issue (Rebel Review in August):

A Guide For Stay-At-Home Moms Who Want To Return To Work
