EcoTalk

This week, I want to introduce you-all to a friend of mine, and encourage you to check out her website(s) AND to tune in to her national radio program, “EcoTalk” on Air America Radio--especially this week (Sunday morning), because I’ll be on the program!

Betsy Rosenberg is an environmentalist--to the core, which might be intimidating for people (like myself, I admit) who are not so environmentally conscious. “Eco-anything” tends to conjure up a vision of hemp clothing and Birkenstocks, organic foods, ‘natural’ products, and people chaining themselves to trees. While I admire their dedication, it’s not always practical to be as environmentally-dedicated as we might like to be.

That’s why I loved Betsy from the moment I met her in New York. She’s an activist and absolutely committed to the environment and eco-friendly causes--she wouldn’t let you doubt that for a minute. But she’s also down-to-earth, smart, funny, practical, and realistic. She is working on making the world a better place for our children, and she will encourage you to get involved somehow, someway. But she makes it less of a religious conversion-type experience and more of an easier transition with strategies and suggestions of small things we can do that are so simple, but would have huge impact on the environment.

Betsy is definitely a positive voice for change.
