This morning I woke up with Morning Wood--that's the Woodman in the Morning Show on K104.7 FM in New York with hosts Woodman and Lynn Kelly. AM and Talk Radio are great. FM Radio, especially in the morning, is a zoo--and always a lot of fun.
Desperate Housewives came up, and Sunday's episode with Lynette's breakdown on the soccer field--yes, that's an honest-to-god REAL moment, in the midst of all the camp and humor. Been there, done that. Most moms have been in that moment, whether they can admit it or not. Pretty scary, huh? That's where The Rebel Housewife came from, and why The Rebel Housewife Rules, even though it's humor, is so important--if Mom ain't happy, no one's having a good time!
The antidote to that very real desperation: Make her laugh. Let her know she's not alone struggling with this whole ridiculous perfection thing we are all making ourselves psycho over--give it a rest!
