550 KTRS Talk Radio St. Louis w/Scott St. James

Terrific interview this morning with Scott St. James at 550 KTRS Talk Radio St. Louis--FUN! He totally scrapped the typical interview format, caught me off guard a bit digging into the bio (my time with the IRS, Vicki's college degree and Hong Kong adventure), and then went right for the book, going through the chapters that caught his attention (mostly the s-e-x ones). It was spontaneous, off-the-cuff, funny and fun--LOVE that man's enthusiasm.

It was great to have a "shout out" to St. Louis--we have a TRIBE of Caldwells over there under the Arch, I'm practically a Local! He loved that, too--very high energy, this talk radio host, which was great. Until he asked about Chapter 4: "Outlaws & Other Baggage" which is, um, the joy and challenges of in-laws...I quickly pointed out, "Vicki wrote that chapter! Especially since all of my in-laws are listening in on this interview--and they're all WONDERFUL!" He quickly went on to the s-e-x chapters (there are a few)--a very fun interview. I'd go back to St. Louis and talk to Scott St. James & Company anytime--

And no, I didn't tape it--that is technologically beyond me. Every time I try to hook up the recorder thingy between the phone and the computer and then set up the recording program (in Mac GarageBand), I get this very loud, regular tick tock tick thing going on--yes, I know it's the Metronome, but it doesn't stop when I click it OFF and I've got enough to worry about with the actual interview itself than to fight the Things With Cords (book reference: Chapter 31)!

I'm on assignment to watch the Presidential Debate tonight (9pm Eastern) and do a little Rebel Housewife opinion piece for the AJC (Atlanta Journal Constitution). We probably don't even want to go there (politics), but a very important date is coming up--TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 2--and we have a job to do, People.

Next up for interviews:
Friday, Oct. 1 at 8:20 PM Eastern - KFNN 1510 AM - Financial News Radio - Phoenix, AZ (I'm not sure what the financial slant will be, since I've not done Financial or Business Radio yet--another first, could be fun!)
Monday, Oct. 4 at 8:10 AM Eastern - WVMT AM 620 - Vermont
