Improv Update & Life Since...

I live for the day when I have time to write more about life, and enjoy a much less hectic pace living it--I'm sure many of you feel the same way at times. This is a quick update, on the eve of a long weekend getaway, which (of course) I still have to pack for...12 hours, plenty of time!

I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful, romantic, at-the-very-least quiet (in a nice way) Valentine's Day. My romantic evening with my hubby was postponed. On Valentine's Day, I had final rehearsal for my Improv Graduation Performance, which was Tuesday the 15th--LIVE on stage!--at Whole World Theatre in Atlanta. It was quite an experience for a formerly kind-of-introverted writer-type like myself. Although no one ever believes that (about being introverted), and I enjoy meeting people and mixing and mingling, even in large groups, it hasn't always been that way. On the whole, I'm a writer, not a talker! That's why I took the Improv Class--and, as is so often the case when you step outside of your comfort zone and try something new, I learned and experienced so much more than I ever imagined. I'm not only a Rebel, now I'm an Improv Rebel--look out! ;-)

The Live Graduation Performance was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me, and as phenomenal an experience as it was...true confession? Okay, I'm glad it's over! It was a six-month program, so I was out of the house and away from my family every Monday night for six months. Well, of course it was kind of nice for a change--but I'm glad it's over and I can go back to being home for dinner and homework and family time. Back to my regular Rebel Housewife life, which is plenty exciting and busy, thank you!

The week after The Show, I've been busy finishing the proposal revision for the next Rebel Housewife project. That package is off with my agent now, and we'll all have to wait it out for the next couple of weeks for news...these things take TIME. Unfortunately, PATIENCE was NEVER a Rebel Housewife virtue...

Along with all of this, life goes on at its usual crazy pace, with all kinds of stuff going on, good and bad--I'm not even going to go THERE today. Suffice it to say: I CAN HARDLY WAIT UNTIL OUR HOUSE SELLS!!!

Meanwhile, tonight I'm off to a local Book Group that selected The Rebel Housewife Rules as their February book to read, and invited me to their meeting. I am honored, and excited to hear response to the book in this format. Unfortunately, everyone in my house is suffering some kind of yucky bug this week--we're all snotty! And my voice is going, going, gone...

...just in time for a Romantic Weekend Getaway with my hubby! We leave tomorrow morning for a weekend cruise in the Bahamas--without kids! Well, I guess the ability to speak is not the most important thing...

I'm off, and I will be back next week--we've got another great issue of The Rebel Housewife Weekly Update (every other week or so!) about ready, and I'm looking forward to sharing some exciting developments for www.RebelHousewife.com--

Stay Tuned!! ;-)
