Perfect Gift: (for a) 12-year-old Boy

Boys this age, my 11-year-old son tells me, want MONEY. The older they get, the more expensive the toys. With cold, hard cash, they can save up for the iPods and the Nintendo DS or PSP (Play Station Portable).

But then again, he continues, "It's fun to have something to open -- not just a dumb card with some money."

He received "The Perfect Gift" from a friend on his 11th Birthday, and decided this is the best way to go for his friend's 12th Birthday:

1) Buy a GIFT CARD -- right now, TARGET is the best, because you can buy anything at TARGET (or trade your Mom for cash), and TARGET has the coolest Gift Cards -- check out the "Sticky Tongue Lizard" or "Bubble Wand" Gift Cards.

2) Allow $5 for packaging:
Buy a Blockbuster Microwave Popcorn Bucket
($2 for a throw-away gift bag, or $2 for a bucket of fun!)
Fill with a candy bar, a pack of gum, and a small, fun toy
(i.e. yo-yo, paddle ball, small puzzle, etc.).

3) Throw the Gift Card in, and you're done -- a Happy 12-year-old!!
