Non-Fiction to Fiction

Since the mid-summer breakdown, with my friend's death and then the death of my computer, I've been working on a novel. I don't know if I can make the leap from non-fiction to fiction. I'm taking a class, Fiction Workshop, with award-winning author David Fulmer at The Margaret Mitchell House/Center for Southern Literature. That was one of my late-summer sanity-savers, every Monday evening, from 6 to 8 p.m., for eight weeks (four more to go). The class has been fantastic; David Fulmer is terrific. The writing assignments (and reading them aloud in class) have been a lot harder than I expected.
