Best Family Value in ATLANTA

Best Value in Atlanta - Zoo Atlanta

Check in your city, if you have a zoo, park, or Botanical Gardens. The annual Family Membership for Zoo Atlanta is $89, for unlimited admission and discounted concessions and activities--the "attractions," which consist of a Train Ride, the Carousel, and a new Rock Climb. The cost of admission for one day, for two adults and three children, is $70, so the membership is a heck of a deal. I admit, I have to wander around among the tourists and think to myself, "You paid $70 to be here today?" But then that's what we do when we visit other cities, and support the local tourist attractions...I'm just glad we're on the inside of the deal here in the hometown, for once.

Please note for the tourist visitors to Atlanta: Zoo Atlanta is a WONDERFUL way to spend a day in Atlanta with your family, well worth the admission and all the other money for lunch and concessions and the "Attractions." Compared to Disney, or the Aquariums and Museums and everything else--Zoo Atlanta is your BEST VALUE in Atlanta. Enjoy!

(Centennial Olympic Park is also a MUST-VISIT, ULTIMATE VALUE (FREE!) in Atlanta, especially on a sunny, hot summer day--don't miss it!)

Note for Zoo Atlanta Members: If you are going to be at the zoo for a couple of hours, and the kids want to do any of the Attractions, be sure to purchase the "Unlimited Rides Pass" for $5 at the gate. The kids get a bracelet that allows for unlimited rides on the train, the carousel, and the new rock climb. Individual tickets for the Attractions are $1.50 for the train, $1.50 for the carousel, and $3.00 for the rock climb, or a $5 combo ticket for one ticket to each...get the pass! ;-)
