The Publicity Machine (Conari Press!)

As of yesterday, I have SEVEN (7) radio interviews and one television interview...all next week! With the publisher's media blitz mailing (100 books and press kits to local and national media), and RTIR advertising this month (that's Radio, Television Interview Report--a monthly catalog of authors and experts that television and radio producers use to shop for guests), things are definitely gettin' started around The Rebel Housewife Rules: To Heck With Domestic Bliss! How cool is that?!

This morning, I had a great media coaching session with talk radio host Tony Trupiano, who is fascinating, fabulous, and a terrific guy. Tony responded to my 911 over all those upcoming interviews and is helping me craft the message and define this character of The Rebel Housewife--yes, of course "she" exists (she is me and Vicki and all the sexy, snappy, funny and fun-loving Rebel Housewives out there), but taking it from the written word to a five-, ten-, or twenty-minute radio or tv interview is a whole different experience--I am a self-confessed Media Virgin, ya'll. There, I said it. So I'm working on it--and I have to be ready by Monday morning, 11:30 am Eastern on KELO-AM in Sioux Falls, SD (I think I have family up there!)...
