3 Thoughts for Smokin' Hot Tuesday

1) It is smokin' hot in Atlanta today, quite literally: We're in the 80's, sunny and warm, with a thick layer of smoke from wildfires in South Georgia blanketing the metro area. It's nasty (we're staying inside) and I feel for the people in South Georgia and Florida who have been smokin' hot for weeks. According to the Georgia Forestry Commission, 52 fires that were burning late Monday have scorched more than 345,000 acres. At one point, parts of the major interstates into Florida were closed because of the fires. I don't even know if it's possible to escape to the beach for Memorial Day Weekend -- Who can afford to, anyway, with gas prices so high?! (I paid $3.07 per gallon yesterday at Quiktrip on Briarcliff.)

2) 3 DAYS OF SCHOOL and counting...but I'm excited: CAMP MOMMY, here we come! We're barely crawling to the end around here, very ready to sleep in a little later in the mornings and have some fun...I'm really excited about this week's Rebel Review, (working on it right now): THE DANGEROUS BOOK FOR BOYS. Perfect timing for summer!
